Why choose LIFE?
Mission
LIFE
School is dedicated to helping the family develop the whole child in a
secure and
nurturing Christian environment. Our mission is to prepare students
of character who strive for excellence academically, spiritually, and socially;
students who become capable, responsible, values-guided citizens.
Purpose
LIFE School exists to serve the family by providing a quality education opportunity for each child, and thereby earning the privilege of sharing the great joy and profound hope we have in our Lord, Jesus Christ.
How can LIFE offer education that is both "high quality" and "affordable"?
LIFE has been supported financially by four churches as well as many individuals and families for thirty years. These churches and individuals contribute to LIFE School out of a commitment to their Lord, Jesus. In essence, they have said, “Here is part of the means, now tell families about God’s love for them as you give their children a quality education.”
Are only Lutherans eligible?
No. We accept members of other churches and also children whose families do not attend church. This is one of the purposes for maintaining Lutheran schools; Sharing the story of Jesus with families who come to us for a superior education.
Guiding Principles
‘Steadfast in faith’ we aim to rise above the ordinary by
developing education which can transform lives and communities. Inspired
by our faith in Christ and together with our parents, churches and communities,
we aim for each person to reach their full potential in body, mind, heart
and spirit.
Everyone in our school community deserves to be cared for unconditionally
and valued equally as a unique creation, made in the image of God. In our
learning, in our work, in our relationships and in the ways in which we
organize our community we are committed to:
C caring for each other
O offering forgiveness
M making justice our concern
M maximizing self esteem
I inspiring faith in Christ
T trusting and being trustworthy
T taking stewardship seriously
E enabling growth and learning
D dedicating ourselves to the pursuit of truth
